For a company that is one of the foremost producers of low-cost primary aluminum, the clear choice for the cover of the Alcan “Louder than words” 2003 Annual Report was a brushed silver film, over-printed with a tint of black and opaque white inks. It not only served to define the business’s product, but conveyed the appropriate sense of value, strength and endurance to its shareholders.
